After its first edition in Lisbon last year, the Carlos Albertino Veiga Foundation's Ocean Summit 2025 will be held in the city of Mindelo, and this year it will have a very special meaning: it will be integrated into the official program of Cape Verde's Ocean Week. This is an important milestone that reaffirms the Foundation's commitment to the ocean, to sustainable development, and to valuing the central role that our country can play in the blue world of the future.
Under the motto “The Ocean We Know, The Future We Build”, this edition will be entirely dedicated to ocean literacy and monitoring the decisions resulting from UNOC3. At a turning point for climate diplomacy and the governance of the seas, Cape Verde reaffirms itself as a global reference, and the Carlos Albertino Veiga Foundation proudly and responsibly assumes the role of catalyst for ideas, projects and collaborations that place the sea at the center of our common destiny.
Until November, we will continue to announce news, confirmed names, and parallel events, confident that we will continue to work daily to make this one of the biggest global ocean events of the year, contributing to the promotion of Cape Verde and a successful future for our people and our sea.
