During his institutional visit to the island of São Vicente, the President of the Carlos Albertino Veiga Foundation met with three key entities in the maritime sector: IMAR – the Institute of the Sea, the National Directorate of Fisheries and the Environment (DNPA), and the National Directorate of Maritime Policy (DNPM). These meetings marked a moment of strategic dialogue and shared vision regarding the future of Cape Verde's maritime affairs.

As a concrete result of these meetings, three collaboration protocols were agreed upon, which will soon give rise to new initiatives and projects in the areas of the blue economy, ocean literacy, and the sustainable valorization of our marine resources. These partnerships represent a firm step in strengthening joint action between the State and civil society, with a view to a more integrated and participatory governance of our maritime heritage.

It is with profound pride and a high sense of responsibility that the Foundation embraces this path. A path that views the sea not as a border, but as a horizon. And that works towards a Cape Verde that is increasingly sustainable, more resilient, and more connected to its Atlantic destiny.
