The Carlos Albertino Veiga Foundation, represented by its President, Dr. Paulo Veiga, is officially present at Expo Osaka 2025 in Japan. Integrated into a program dedicated to Ocean Literacy, this visit, undertaken at the invitation of the Portuguese government, reinforces the Foundation's commitment, and that of Cape Verde, to the defense and enhancement of the sea as an engine for sustainable development.
Throughout the official agenda, highlights include a visit to the Cape Verde Pavilion, a reception hosted by the Portuguese Secretary of State for the Sea, Eng. Salvador Malheiro, participation in an international debate on the oceans, and the signing of a protocol with the Portuguese Directorate-General for Maritime Policy.
This presence symbolizes the strategic importance of the ocean for Cape Verde and for the Foundation, underlining its role as a bridge between countries and as a promoter of knowledge, innovation and cooperation in the Atlantic space.
